Experience

I'm a person who doesn't like to read and write. I was worried about this cause because I'm really not good at Typography. There is some work that enjoys doing it like express our personality with our name and animate it and type expression. It was really fun for me as I'm interested in animation. I feel pretty stress in the class as that was the first time my work had been rejected for so many times. But I clearly know that stress is the best way to make us stronger. From the first week until now, the class had changed from a very serious class to a fun class as the lecturer started to make joke in the class. It makes me enjoy the class more as I love to study in a friendly environment.

 Observation

I realize that everyone in the class is good at different skills. Some people are good at designing font, some people are good at animation while some people good at choosing the right typeface. Other than the lecturer, I did also learned something from my classmate when I walked around in the class and look at their work. Some of their work even inspired me while doing a project. I also found out that some people like the ways the lecturer teaches, for example, keep on rejecting our work. They feel like that's the best way to make them improve. But some people feel like the class is too stressful and they can't accept that the lecturer always rejects their work. The lecturers did always reject my work but I know that that's because my work is not good enough.

 Findings

After these 14 weeks, I realize that I had really learned a lot from Mr.Vinod and Mr.Shamsul. I love the project which allows us to express the feeling through the type. Throughout these 14 weeks of updating my blog, I learned to manage my time as the lecturer check our blog every week. During foundation, we need to create our own blog too but I always update it in the last week because the lecturer only will check the blog in the last week. This caused me really stress in the last week due to my bad time management. And now, I saw the differences in updating our blog weekly and update the blog in the last week. I'm not sure about what the lecturers think, but I think I had improved my Typography skills as I learned a lot of knowledge from them.

  Yeoh Wen Jun ( 0334234 ) Major Project INSTRUCTION Week 1 For the first class of Major Project, we were given a short brief by Mr. Asrizal in the class. It was the first time we can all sit in class together after so long since the pandemic. We went through the MIB and we were told that we can conduct the project in 3 ways. The first is to continue with our dissertation topic, the second is to get a client and the last is to make something with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.  After the instruction, Mr.Asrizal showed us some seniors' work to give us some ideas. Sonic Design Final Project

Yeoh Wen Jun ( 0334234 ) Sonic Design Final Project  INSTRUCTION Week 12 In the final project, it is different from what we did before. Before this, we normally use the free stocks sound effect to conduct our exercises. But this time we will need to record our own sound effects. We were given a variety of videos to choose from. Also, an audio storyboard was prepared by Mr.Razif. The reason to have an audio storyboard is that if we are going to record sound in a studio, we need to save time as it is not cheap. We need to get ready for all the materials and know what sound we need to create. Professional Development Week

Yeoh Wen Jun ( 0334234 ) Professional Development Week Introduction As this is our final semester and we will be graduating very soon, we were asked to learn different knowledge from the people working in the industry and make a report. Hence, we were assigned to take part in the Professional Development Week. Professional Development Week is on week 8 of this semester, and there are many types of workshops provided. In this case, we will need to attend at least 6 workshops which is a total of 6 learning hours. Some workshops were compulsory as it was selected by our Program Director but for the rest, we can choose for ourselves.
