The words in black were painting in a very expressing way while the words in red are painting in an orderly way. I messed up the word make as I still can't really control the brush well. ( The biggest mistake that I had made is, it should be RESPECT DESIGNER"S", DESIGNER"S" make the world more beautiful. I miss out the "S".)
I want the reader to focus on the "DESIGNERS!" in black at first then the sentence "make the world more beautiful" show-up slowly. And the "RESPECT DESIGNERS" in red occur intensely.
When Mr.Vinod and Mr.Shamsul check my blog, they realize that my version 6 looks nice and ask me to try on it if I want to. I would like to have a try but I can't spend too much time on this since I got other final projects not done yet.
I tried to animate it and it doesn't really work so I went to get some feedback from the lecturers and they ask me to adjust the spacing between the words. They also told me to use the last week's time to improve my work as much as I can and show them if I created something better. Hence, I went back to Adobe Illustrator to slightly adjust the spacing between the words.
After some time, I created a new GIF with the animation of same concept with Fg.2.5 Respect Designers version 7 GIF.
Again I went to get feedback from the lecturer and Mr.Shamsul ask me to add colour to the background. I decided to use the background that I use for version 7 as I like the texture very much and it is similar to my original protest board (cardboard texture).

Specific feedback: Mr.Vinod said I should have saved all the design that I played around, so its easier for me to have a new idea when looking back at them. The black frame is too thick and the "designer" should add as (designers).

INSTRUCTION

Materials Required:
The single line Manifesto that I created is "Respect designers, designers make the world more beautiful". Why I choose this line is, I always heard someone say that design is for those who can't study to choose. When people ask me what course am I studying and I reply them design, I always feel like people started to look down at me. But I still feel glad to be a designer, because this is what I want to be. Hence, I started to do some sketches in my notebook.
- 5' to 7' (feet) long stick (broomstick)
- Cardboard or corrugated board (A2)
- Single line Manifesto
- Thick brush/ marker/ paint
- Chinese Ink
- Hot glue gun
- Newspapers

The English version has been chosen and I got approval from the lecturers. Then, I started to sketch them on the cardboard and paint it. I decided to paint the first "Designer" and the word "Respect" in red and others in black. The background will just remain the colour and texture of cardboard.

Before we leave the class, we were asked to take a photo with our protest board. This is to let people know who is the designer of the protest board. The lecturer did post the photos of us with the protest board on the Facebook page.
After all of that, we had reached the last step of our final project. We need to digitize our line, make it into an A3 poster and animate it. We were told to play around with different layout but if all of it doesn't work, we should go back to the original one. Also, we can only use the selected 9 fonts and a maximum of 3 colours. Fg.1.7 shows all the 7 design of mine.
Version 7 occurs because I don't really get good feedback from the lecturers. They don't like my first 6 design and they ask me to go back to the original design. It is a bit challenging for me because in my original design, I use my own fonts. It is something more expressing my feeling, but now I can only use the 9 selected fonts. I tried my best to match the most similar fonts and did some kerning. In the end, I chose to animate version 7 and I export it into PSD file and resize it into A4 size. Initially, I was planning to use After Effects but there is some problem with my Media Encoder. I can't export my work if I do it with After Effects. So I did something like what I did for exercise 1 of this module which is animate the poster in Photoshop with video timeline.

General Feedback: We need to finish up of protest board 3pm which is before our class ends. Do not spend too much time on sketching.
Week 11 (6 /11/19 )
Week 12 ( 13/11/19 )
Specific feedback: Mr.Vinod doesn't like my design with "frame" and he asks me to do like what I did for my protest board.
General feedback: Adjust the size to A4 when we going to animate it, A3 is too large and some laptops will crash.

REFLECTION
Week 10, I should spend more time sketching some ideas for the protest board before the class. Because of last-minute work, I do not have enough time to form a good line. But luckily, I successfully created a line by expressing myself. Week 11, I was thinking that the final project was quite easy, it's not a big deal. But actually the easier the thing is, the harder it is. I was having a hard time to explore the layout. Week 12, as I expected, my work got rejected again. I was pretty stress because I "think" I had tried my best. The only thing that I can do is keep on exploring and create something which is easier because I got not much time left. I know that I should take note of the deadline and the quality of my work.

This is not really a book but more like slides.
Why I choose to read this book is because the texture of the slide does attract me as I like the texture very much. Actually, I didn't finish it as I need to due with all the finals. I just "scan" this slides and only read the interesting part. We can learn 10 broad classifications of type from this slide. These are the basic for those who want to study typography as it essential designers to classify type. There is also some history of the 10 type classification.
