LECTURE
Week 1
Dr. Noorhayati and Dr. Jinchi started this module by giving us a brief about this module. The class was conducted on Microsoft Teams as we are not able to meet on the campus during MCO. After the brief, we started our first lecture by learning 2W 1H about research. (WHAT is research, WHY we do research and, HOW to research)
After the basic, we were given a lecture about the research problem.
After the lecture, we were asked to choose our specialization. There are four options for us which are graphic design, new media, animation and visual effects, and also entertainment design. This will affect our project as our specialization will be the topic.
Hence, we were separated into groups following by our specialization. Those who specialize in graphic design and new media will be under Dr. Jinchi while those who specialize in animation and visual effects and entertainment design will be under Dr. Noorhayati.
Week 2
This week we learn about how to develop and identify our research question. Below are the slides provided by the lecturer. Other than the lecture slide, there are also some lecture notes provided.

Week 3
This week we are going deeper into formulating research questions and objectives through two different ways which are inductive approach and deductive approach. Before that, the lecturer recaps us briefly about last week's lecture. We also learn to identify the type of research in today's class. Below are the slides provided.
INSTRUCTIONS
PROPOSAL
We have only 1 project for this module but cut into separated parts. First of all, we will need to start brainstorming a research topic (based on our specialization). The reason we must choose the research topic base on our specialization is that it will help us in the future.
My initial proposal:
I received a voice record feedback given by Dr. Hayati as I'm under her supervision. She told me to be careful about my research question as it is more like a work for Mass Communication students. Also, my problem statement is based on my own experience which is not wrong but I will need to avoid using "I". All the "I" should change to animator, researcher, or even designer.
Dr. Hayati also suggests me to read more article because my references are too less. My problem statement is weak as I do not have enough evidence to make sure that it can work. Lastly, I will need to add the research objective.
I decided to rewrite my problem statement and slightly change my research question.
Rewrite Version Proposal:
My proposal in the slide version:
For research objectives, I need to change the word Investigate to other verbs as Investigate is an in-depth study and time doesn't side me. There is also English issue for my second research objective. For the problem statement part, I didn't inform the reader, such myself, on what I intend to achieve in this research subsequent from the two earlier paragraphs that merely described the slight or briefly on history and development of animation. I will also need to search for greater scholar articles for my references. There is also some careless mistake for the arrangement of the slide. I missed out the research problem slide and it should be placed after the research topic.
Below is my Final Proposal after lecturer's feedback:
