Video and Sound Production Project 1
Week 1
For the first class for sound production, Mr.Rafiz gave us a lecture on the topic of Sound Fundamental. He even introduced the nature of sound to us which is very scientific. In this section, we also learned about human hearing range (pitch /frequency).There is a second video for the tutorial section which has been recorded by Mr.Rafiz during the class. In this section, Mr.Rafiz guide us and teach us the basic of Adobe Audition. Adobe Audition is a software that allows us to do sound editing with more function.
After the tutorial section, we were given an exercise. For this exercise, we were asked to explore the sound. Mr.Rafiz mentioned that there is no true or false for sound production, we learn through exploring. We were given a zip file with 6 different sound and we needed to explore them through Adobe Audition. Below is my attempt as this is also my first time playing around with sound.

Before the class ended, Mr.Rafiz also suggest us to get a good quality headphone as it will function better. The sound that we can hear from the good quality headphones is different from the cheap one. Mr.Rafiz also provided us a range of recommended headphones in Google Classroom.
Week 2
In this week's lecture, Mr.Rafiz start the class by recapping us about frequencies and equalizers. Then, he continues the class with a demo of how to do sound shaping. Below is my attempt for sound shaping exercise:Voice on Phone call

Week 3
Due to public holiday, there is no class for today. But, Mr. Razif did prepare a lecture and a tutorial video for us. In the lecture video, we learn about the 6 basics of sound design which are:
1. Layering
2. Time stretching
3. Time compression
4. Pitch shifting
5. Reversing
6. Mouth it
Lecture slide provided:
Lecture slide provided:
In the lecture video, Mr. Razif introduce us about what is layering, time-stretching, time compression, pitch shifting, reversing, and mouth it. He also showed us a bit about how to do all of that in Audition. More details will be shown in the tutorial video.
Lecture video recorded by Mr. Razif:
In the tutorial video, Mr.Razif show us the steps to do layering, time-stretching, time compression, pitch shifting, reversing, and mouth it by using the multitrack, parametric equalizer, mixer, reverb, and hard limiter on Audition.
Tutorial video recorded by Mr.Razif:
In another video which is the last video, Mr.Razif shows us how to export multitrack into one file. We should export as MP3 instead of WAV format because MP3 is compressed so the file size will be smaller and make file-sharing services easier. ( Now, we need to upload it on Google drive and post on our blog, which means we need to export as MP3.)
Below is my attempt for the exercise:
