For the first class of this module, we conduct the class through Zoom with Mr.Martin and Mr.Razif. We will conduct the class online until 17th July. Mr.Martin started the class by briefing us bout this module through about. We get to know what are we going to do in the following 14 weeks. We were asked to watch some very interesting video created by Zack King and some seniors work.

Tasks for Week 1:
1. Install Premiere Pro, Audition, and After Effects.
2. Select a Zack King trick/video for Project 2.
3. Post 3 favorite Stop motion videos on blog.
4. Choose not more than 3 PSA topics for our Final Project.
5. Order a tripod if we don't have.

Week 2 (17/4/2020)

Again we have our lecture with Mr.Martin and Mr.Razif on Zoom. This week, we learned about storytelling in film. We get to know the importance of the story and plot for a film. We also learned about how to do a plot segment.

Week 3

No Class for today. (Public Holiday)

Week 4

This week, we learned about the structure of a story. There should be 3 acts in one story, which are beginning/setup, middle/confrontation, and end/resolution. Mr.Martin showed us an example based on the movie Toy Story.

EXERCISES

Week 2(24/4/2020)

For this week, we were asked to combine 19 scenes provided by the lecturer into one complete video. Mr.Martin does provide us a tutorial video on how to use Adobe Premiere Pro. Here is my combination of the 19 scenes:

After finished the first video editing exercise, we were asked to try on another 21 scenes by using the same way. Fg.1.1 shows my progress while combining the scenes on Adobe Premiere Pro.

After we 2 video-editing exercise, we were also asked to write a plot segmentation of a video called "REBOOTED". This is the video that we need to work on it:

Week 3 (1/5/2020)

This week we were asked to compile video again but this time we will need to apply some transition. I use the easiest transition which is fade in and fade out. I also try to overlap the video to form a different feel of transition. I did also try to play with the zoom-in effect and moving screen as I have some experiences.

Week 4 (8/5/2020)

We were asked to add in BGM for the Lalin video editing exercise. Also, I get to know that we should cut down the video to 30-50 seconds sharp. The video below is my work.

Another video compile exercise. There is not much transition to editing, only the beginning, and the ending applied fade in and fade out.
